Curriculum Vitae

After his Abitur in 2011, Mr. Sedlmeir started his studies in physics at the Technichal University of Munich. However, after a year he switched place and content of his studies and thus completed his Bachelor in mathematics with minor subject physics in Augsburg in 2015. Afterwards, he joined the Elite Master Programme “Theoretical and Mathematical Physics” in Munich, putting an emphasis on the topic of mathematical quantum mechanics, and finished it with great distinction in summer 2018. In his master’s thesis, Mr Sedlmeir dealt with the mathematical (statistical) justification of the Vlasov equation. During his studies, he collected practical working and programming experiences in a 6 months internship with subsequent 12 months employment as a working student at SGL Group in Meitingen, where he worked in the area of modelling and optimization for the Technology&Innovation department. Moreover, he gave tutorials in various lectures at university and preparation courses for secondary school final exams in mathematics organized by the STARK publisher at the City-Kolleg München. In March 2018, he joined the Kernkompetenzzentrum Finanz- und Informationsmanagement in Augsburg as a student assistant, and in September 2018, he switched position to Bayreuth and became a research assistant there.

Main Research

In his research, Mr. Sedlmeir focusses on the optimal use of demand-side flexibilities in the electricity market (demand side management).
